Announcing Postling Suggestions!
postling: When we started Postling, one comment we heard from small business owners was, “I’m using social media, but it’s taking up way too much of my time.” As a result, we purpose-built Postling to allow small business owners, who have 100 other things to do each day, to manage their social media in 5 minutes a day. Another common comment we heard was, “I want to use social media, but I don’t...

Outraged? Seriously? Surely, you must be joking. Can someone please remind the Silicon Valley bubble that the “I’m bored at work, sitting in front of my desktop” market is HUGE compared to the “I can afford to own an iPad” market?

– That’s Yahoo! critic Will Leitch here to give you the depressingly inevitable news that “The Hangover Part II” is terrible. And it’s now official: “Super 8” needs to be the greatest movie ever made, or else 2011 will end up being the single worst year in the history of film. Even the year “RoboCop...

robpollak: Now that I’ve made my yearly switch to iced coffee, I’m falling into my usual warm weather routine: I wake up, press snooze, press snooze, press snooze, shower, towel dry, air dry, get dressed, walk to the subway, take a free newspaper from a moderately homeless gentleman, read… Check out this quora thread on the topic. Was LinkedIn Scammed? - NYTimes.com →
I have no doubt that most everyone at LinkedIn was thrilled to see the run-up; most executives at start-ups usually are. An I.P.O. is an important marker for any company. And, of course, the executives themselves are suddenly rich. But, in reality, LinkedIn was scammed by its bankers. The fact that the stock more than doubled on its first day of trading — something the investment bankers, with...

Noticing something about AngelList
It’s no longer sufficient to be investment-grade. There are so many investment-grade companies on AL that angels can’t afford to invest in all of the ones they like. So, the rich get richer, and some startups miss out. Interesting dynamic that didn’t exist even 6 months ago. Also, “proprietary dealflow” is a joke.
