On Monday, the company will announce it raised $85 million in fresh financing. The round was led by Greylock Partners and Insight Venture Partners, and the Chernin Group, Richard Branson, Spark Capital, Union Square Ventures and Sequoia Capital also contributed. Pretty sure they want to kill the DVD business. Turns out storing things in warehouses and putting them into envelopes is expensive. They just need the business to survive long enough to support the transition to a streaming only company.
That said, I love the name MailFlix.
