Tumblr is so incredibly awesome I am a bit disinclined to report any minor annoyances with such a sensational free service.
However, there are a couple of annoying bookmarklet glitches, and now that I’ve replicated the behavior in multiple browsers (been giving Google Chrome a thorough test cruise) and considering these are actions that used to work properly, will chronicle the details.
- href attribute stripped from HTML link (a) tags — see this here post for an example of resultant output. a tag remains, but the href is stripped. On quote posts, all tags are understandably removed, but this was a halfway measure on a link post.
- unable to edit images copied over via the clipboard buffer — you can see it, click on it, but it just brings up an empty form dialog.
I also love the bookmarklet. One minor annoyance is that line breaks between paragraphs disappear when quoting multiple paragraphs.
