Songs I cannot stop listening to this week.

    thecandyqueen:

Winter White Hymnal - Fleet Foxes - The video is pretty cool too. I just think this is the best song of theirs. It feels grand and the melody and harmonies are so unique. I used to know the keyboard player for a long time as he dated an old friend of mine for a number of years. It’s nice to see people you know/knew reach this kind of level of success. But when I saw them on David Letterman, I was all “WHOA! Way to bring the lumberjack look back.” So Seattle.

Flashing Lights - Kanye West - I just love the beat to this one. The lyrics are secondary to me, which isn’t usually the case for me. It’s just sexy. It would be on my spinning class playlist if I ever became an instructor…which is something I still want to do and haven’t!!

Magic - Robin Thicke - I think we all know where I  stand with this song. What I particularly like about the video is the scene where there are a bunch of him dancing in a very Dick Van Dyke-type outfit and his moves are a combo between Michael Jackson and the chimney sweep in Mary Poppins.

Sex on Fire - Kings of Leon - I know this song is pretty played out and was even on a recent Gossip Girl episode, but it really is a fantastic song. I would like to have a hot make-out while it’s playing in the background. Straight up.

You might say I’ve been in a good mood lately.

I’m still loving Fleet Foxes’ Ragged Wood. Any song that can start off so good then switch into a killer 6/8 feel by the end get’s my loving attention.
